Glass options
Nobody takes energy efficiency more seriously than Andersen. That’s why we offer multiple high-performance glass options that make it possible to get Andersen® windows and patio doors that are ENERGY STAR® certified, no matter where you live in the country.
Choosing The Right Glass
Most people can enjoy optimal energy performance and comfort with our standard Low-E/Low-E4® glass offerings. Low-E ('low-emissive') glass reflects heat in the summer and helps keep heat inside in the winter, making this a good choice in climates where both heating and cooling costs are a concern.
Additional glass performance options include SmartSun™ glass that blocks 95% of the sun’s harmful UV rays and PassiveSun™ glass that brings the heat from sunlight into your home. Check with your Andersen dealer for glass options that make Andersen products ENERGY STAR® certified in your area.
